PALGIC®
is a histamine H
1
receptor blocking agent and has been indicated for the symptomatic treatment of:
Seasonal & Perennial Allergic Rhinitis
Most first-generation products only affect one or the other. PALGIC® has the advantage of impacting both forms of allergic rhinitis.
Vasomotor Rhinitis
PALGIC® helps reverse the dilation and painful constriction of nasal blood vessels.
Allergic Conjunctivitis
Caused by inhaled allergens or food allergies.
Urticaria & Angioedema
Carbinoxamine is only effective with the mild conditions and manifestations caused by these conditions. Symptoms are hives or wheals with an intense itch. Chronic or severely acute cases may require stronger treatment. Angioedema are eruptions of the skin associated with vasomotor nerve disorders (aka angioneurosis).
Dermatographism
A form of urticaria in which whealing occurs at or in the site and in the configuration of stroking applied to the skin. (aka urticaria factitia, Ebbecke's reaction).
Adjunctive therapy for anaphylactic reactions (to Epinephrine)
Anaphylactic shock is an immediate, transient and extreme reaction to foreign material in the body. Epinephrine can have this effect on about 10% of the population and the reaction occurs after a second injection. In that situation, the body has built up antibodies top epinephrine from the first inoculation or use.
Amelioration of the severity of allergic reactions to blood or plasma
This property involves the moderation or improvement to severe symptoms or diseases of the blood.
